Geography at Alleyn's School, Dulwich (1983-1995). Returned to Haberdashers' to be Head of
Department in 1995.
President of the
Geographical Association (1995-96). Publications include: Development in the Third World
(OUP, 1983); Human Geography in Diagrams (CUP); Physical Geography in Diagrams (CUP);
articles published in Geo, Geographical Magazine, Geography, Teaching Geography and the
Times Educational Supplement.

and have stayed here ever since. Spent 25 years teaching a full timetable of Geology to
GCSE and A Level. Then returned to continue studies at University College London with a
Fawcett Fellowship. Re-discovered Geography and have taught it ever since".

Geography. Teacher training at Cambridge University under Rex Walford, "an
outstanding man who has inspired thousands of geographers". First teaching post at
St. Edward's, Oxford, before returning to HABS in 1997. Co-authored GCSE textbook Complete
Geography (1998).
