Upper Sixth Fieldtrip
Cuckmere Haven

In October, our 6A geographers travel to Cuckmere Haven in Sussex for a day's fieldwork looking at coastal processes and issues associated with coastal management.  Cuckmere Haven lies at the mouth of one of the few rivers to cut through the chalk of the South Downs.  Along the route taken by our group is evidence of several ways in which humans have endeavoured to control the action of both the sea and the river.
