"I'm delighted I sent my sons to Habs. It offers much choice and has certainly inspired them to achieve their full potential." |
Dr Sussan Nourshargh, Professor of Pharmacology, Barts. |
The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School selects boys on the basis of their academic potential and ability through competitive examination. Although an education at Haberdashers’ is about much more than performance in public examinations and the classroom, it is important that boys are strong academically if they are to thrive and enjoy themselves at this busy and high-achieving school.
At the same time, the school recognises the concerns and obligations of parents for all of their offspring and the practical difficulties that families can face with children at a number of different schools.
Habs therefore interviews automatically all boys with brothers in the school or who have sisters in the Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls. The school is then best placed to judge whether siblings are likely to benefit from the sort of education Habs offers. Parents can also be reassured that the school will not admit boys who are likely to be unhappy here because they will struggle academically.
The school is committed to providing parents with all appropriate support and guidance in the placing of their children.
