The Music Department

The TW Taylor Music School is home to the music department. It is currently undergoing rejuvenation and boasts some exceptional resources. There are three classrooms, one of which (MUA) is a dedicated Music ICT suite with 27 computers, each running both Cubase SX and Sibelius 4 software. Another classroom (MUC) is a keyboard lab, with 29 Casio CTK-731 keyboards. At the heart of the department, both physically and artistically, is the Seldon Hall, a concert arena with capacity for an audience of up to 300. Recently refurbished and home to a Steinway Model B Grand piano (2003), the Seldon Hall hosts over twenty-five concerts per year and is used regularly for music rehearsals, Associated Board examinations and assemblies. |
