All boys in years 7 & 8 receive two period of physical activity per week. In years 9, 10 & 11 the subject is allocated one period per week.

Physical Education is also offered as a one-year GCSE course in year 11 and as an AS/ A2 course in years 12 and 13.

The school offers a wide range of activities through the Games programme. Each year group receives an afternoon of games, equivalent to three periods.

Habs experience an extensive list of midweek and weekend fixtures. All boys are expected to commit themselves to the sessions at lunch, after school as well as fixtures at the weekends. Only those who have exceptional circumstances (authorised by the Director of Sport) are granted exeats.
Along with Inter School fixtures, we also enter a vast number of District, Regional and National competitions:

The Games Department comprises nearly 50 members of staff who coach and supervise a range of sporting activities throughout the week. Many of the staff involved also run extra-curricular sessions as well as running teams for school fixtures at the weekends.
