Inspectors praise Habs as a successful and caring community

The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School has received a glowing report following its recent Inspection, confirming its position as one of the best independent schools in the country.

The Inspectors highlighted the quality of the pastoral work and the wide range of activities offered outside the classroom, as well as the exceptional achievements of the pupils in their examination results. The large team of Inspectors awarded the rare distinction of 'excellent' in no fewer than five aspects of school life.

The Headmaster, Peter Hamilton, was praised for his clear vision for the future and for the wide-ranging improvements he is making. 'Whilst acknowledging our many strengths, the Inspectors have encouraged us to think afresh about what we do and how we can do even better.'

Haberdashers' Preparatory School shares the limelight. According to the Inspectors, the school's 'excellent academic record' and 'care for the individual' contribute to 'an excellent ethos in which a positive joy in learning can flourish from the earliest age.'Whilst acknowledging the first-rate facilities and learning resources, particular praise was reserved for the overall ethos as 'an outstandingly well-integrated school community,' supported by the dedicated and hard-working staff.
