"Habs fostered individuality even when teaching the basics." |
Peter Oppenheimer, Fellow, Christ Church College, Oxford |
On Tuesday 19th of January around fifty year 11 students took part in the annual Engineering Competition run by the Physics department. The task this year was to make a device that set off a signal after 60 seconds, from an assortment of equipment ranging from paper plates to balloons.
As always, the Physics department was impressed by the ingenuity and enthusiasm shown by the boys and most of the groups managed to produce a working timer. Congratulations to the winning team “Quantum” (Sam Steinert, Jamie Ough, Luke Illot, Chris Edwards and Vincent Lim) who recorded a time of 63 seconds.
