With almost all of the sponsor money in, we are pleased to announce that five year 11 boys- Rory Cartmell, Ed Curtis, Rufus McAlistair, Cian O’Riordain and Ben Lewry have exceeded the target they set themselves and have raised £4,247.75 for our school charity, KidzCare Tanzania. Special thanks go to Rev Jan and everyone who has supported and helped on the project, particularly to the Sixth Formers who were so tenacious in collecting sponsor money on the walkers’ behalf. The fantastic sum raised will help enable KidzCare Tanzania to continue its invaluable work with vulnerable children.
During the October Half term holidays, the boys set off to walk the length of Hadrian's Wall, a distance of 84 miles, to raise money for KidzCare Tanzania. The boys planned, organised and executed the walk entirely independently. After 5 days of walking through fields, up hills, down hills and around hills the boys arrived at their destination of Wallsend.
