Guy Lewy has just returned from Moscow with the rest of the British Chemistry Olympiad team (pictured) where he competed in the 45th International Chemistry Olympiad and was honoured with a Bronze medal. After attaining one of the top 50 scores in the first round of the UK Chemistry Olympiad in February, Guy was invited to spend a weekend at Cambridge University where he competed in the second round and was selected for the British team. Guy is following in the footsteps of Nicolas Parker (OH) who achieved the same feat two years ago. Many congratulations to Guy.
The success of HABS students in Chemistry at Cambridge University doesn’t end there. Deep Ghose has been invited to a Chemistry camp at the University following his top 50 score (out of about 6500 candidates) in the Lower Sixth Chemistry Challenge, which they run nationally. Having achieved a Gold medal in the first round of the UK Chemistry Olympiad this year, we have high hopes for Deep next year!
