"It's always been fun at the Prep, but one of the best things is that there is always a challenge."

Sunday Times Preparatory School of the Year 2011

Peter Hamilton, Headmaster, is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious title of Sunday Times Preparatory School of the Year 2011.  Not only are we the only boys’ prep school ever to have won this prize, only we and the City of London Girls’ have won it twice (we were also awarded this back in 2006).

“I know you will join me in extending my congratulations to Yvonne Mercer and her staff at the Prep for this extraordinary achievement,” noted the Headmaster.    “To have been awarded this title once is remarkable; to have received it twice is truly outstanding.  This accolade is a well-deserved recognition of the enormous work that has been undertaken by Yvonne and her team, working closely with parents and pupils, to ensure that the Prep School provides the ideal environment in which to nurture young inquisitive minds.”

Alastair McCall, editor of The Sunday Times Schools Guide, Parent Power, was even more effusive.  "Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School is a thoroughly deserving winner of our School of the Year award. For the past six years, its boys have ranked it either first or second in the country in terms of its outright academic performance - remarkable consistency at a remarkable level of achievement. It is top of the form again this year. Virtually all the boys leave this exceptional prep school with academic ability at least two years ahead of their actual age. Allied to the opportunities open to them to develop through the wealth of extra-curricular activities, it made the decision to make our award to Haberdashers' one of the easier choices for our judges."
