Applications are now closed for 2021 entry.
Entry is for boys aged 11 and below the age of 12 on 1 September in the year of entry. Candidates take an entrance examination consisting of written papers and an online reasoning examination which will take place on the School premises. The entrance examination has been revised to Thursday 17 December or Friday 18 December 2020. Candidates will be invited to one of four sessions lasting 90 minutes. A number of boys are called forward for interview on the basis of their performance in the reasoning test and, amongst these boys, offers of places are subsequently made. Boys are not required to bring books, projects or other work with them to interview, but we ask one or both of a boy’s parents or guardians to attend at this time, in order to meet the Headmaster or the Deputy Head.
For those participating in the 11+ entrance examinations in December, please be aware there have been revisions to this year's examination due to the pandemic. We will no longer be including English and Maths as part of the assessments, however they will be expected to take a 90-minute computer-based reasoning test which includes numerical, verbal and non-verbal skills.
Maths and English skills will be covered in slightly longer interviews in January for those invited back for the second round. We will start our interviews earlier than the dates currently advertised: Tuesday 12 - Wednesday 20 January 2021.
All participants will be in a socially distanced environment.
