Entry is for boys aged 13 and below the age of 14 on 1 September in the year of entry. Candidates take an entrance examination on Thursday 7 January consisting of written papers in English, Mathematics, Science (Chemistry, Physics and Biology), General Humanities (this is a source-based not a syllabus-based paper),
French and Latin (for those boys who have studied Latin). Spanish and German assessments are also available. The date of the entrance examination is Thursday 7 January 2021. A number of boys are called forward for interview on the basis of their performance in the written examinations and, amongst these boys, offers of places are subsequently made.
For those participating in the 13+ entrance examinations in January 2021, please be aware there have been revisions to this year's examination due to the pandemic. We will no longer be including Languages as part of the assessments, however we will continue to test in Science, English, Maths and Humanities. These papers will be slightly shorter: 45 minutes in length.
All participants will be in a socially distanced environment.
