Habs boy to appear in Sleepless: A Musical Romance

The School is delighted to announce that Year 10 student Jobe will be performing as Jonah in Sleepless: A Musical Romance. It will be the first fully staged musical to open its doors since lockdown began.

The musical will see plenty of measures being put in place to guarantee the safety of crowd and crew, such as the implementation of 30-minute COVID tests for the cast and crew while the audience will see some carefully-controlled guidelines to ensure everyone can enjoy the performance safely.

This comes off the back of Jobe receiving fantastic reviews as best friend Billy in Big: The Musical and his brilliant work in musical theatre productions for the past three years. Having performed in the original cast for School of Rock and Matilida, this is yet another outstanding achievement.

Jobe has received some fantastic reviews since the show's opening, such as from Broadway World, which wrote: "...young Jobe... is truly one to watch. He gives the skilled and nuanced performance of an actor well beyond his years, and has a glorious voice to boot."

The Sunday Express also expressed delight at Jobe's performance: "But the star of the show is 14-year-old Jobe who, on press night played Jonah. Touching and debonair, he brings down the house with his soft shoe shuffle, while giving the production its all-important heart."

Congratulations, Jobe!
