Habs students receive exceptional A Level results

We warmly congratulate all our Year 13 students on achieving outstanding A Level results enabling them to secure places, once again, at prestigious universities. The most popular this year include Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, LSE, UCL, Bristol, Warwick and Durham. Students have also secured places abroad, including to the USA and Japan.

Mr Gus Lock, Headmaster, congratulated the students: “I am absolutely delighted for our brilliant students and their exceptional achievements particularly in the light of another academic year full of interruptions, lockdowns and restrictions. We are rightly proud of our Sixth Formers for the character they have shown in their resilience, ambition and courage. Throughout the past year they have continued to take full advantage of everything that Habs has to offer; they richly deserve these outstanding results which have been achieved alongside fantastic performances on the sports field, the drama stage, in the art studio, in music performances and in the many rewarding charity and community events at Habs.

I would like to extend my thanks to our fantastic staff for their continued expert, passionate teaching and guidance for every student and to our encouraging parents and carers who have supported their children during another very challenging year. Well done to all!”

During their last term at School, the Year 13s attended our ‘Frontiers Programme’ which offered practical workshops to equip our students to survive and thrive at university. Students attended sessions on cooking, renting and housing maintenance, advice on travelling and adventure, first aid and basic bike and car maintenance, as well as a range of interdisciplinary seminars.

Hearty congratulations to the Class of 2021! Having endured and overcome many obstacles during this unusual year, we know that you will go on to enjoy some quite remarkable careers and become the problem-solvers of the future. We look forward to hearing of your stories and successes in the years to come. You will always remain part of the Habs community.
