After securing qualification to the National Finals only last week in Northampton, the U13 Waterpolo team traveled back to Northampton for the National Finals. In their group they faced some fantastic waterpolo-playing schools such as Trinity, and King Edward School, Birmingham.
The first match of the day was against Trinity where the team lost 6-1. However, the team showed their courage and ambition to go into the next match determined to come away with the points. The next game saw them win 3-1 against King Edward School meaning the team were in the semi-finals against Bedford, the first place team of the second group.
With some fantastic play, grit and strength of character, Habs came away with a 5-3 win to put them in the final where they faced Trinity once again. The team started well, only conceding the first goal in the final moments of the first half, but the game ended with 3-0.
However, this meant that our U13 team came second in the National Finals! They worked hard and we are incredibly proud of all those who took part.
Congratulations to our U13 Waterpolo team!
