Sport

Athletics

Throughout the summer term all boys are taught Athletics and near the end of term there is a sports day in which every boy participates.

The school team has matches and also participate in the IAPS district competition where some boys have qualified to represent the district at National level.

Cricket

Cricket is played throughout the school and there is inter-house cricket in Years 4, 5 and 6 for a selected group of boys. During the summer term there are regular inter-school matches for Years 5 and 6. Year 4 play inter-school pairs cricket matches. Cricket coaching is offered to selected boys during the Autumn and Spring terms with a qualified coach. There are 10 lessons during the terms and each lesson is 30 minutes in duration. Boys are taught on a 1-1 basis in the Senior School nets and this allows them to improve their individual skills.

With Cricket being so strong in the Prep School, a tour was organised for Year 6 boys in the Easter holidays of 2005 to Barbados. A good time was had by all!

Various boys from the School have represented Middlesex or Hertfordshire over the years.

Cross Country

There are many inter-school matches throughout the season. The School competes in County and Area championships and there is a junior and senior inter-house competition, called the Donkin Cup, in which every boy participates.

Football

Football is taught to all age groups and there is also an inter-house football competition in which every boy participates. There are school teams from Year 4 to Year 6 who play regular inter-school fixtures and tournaments.

Rugby

Rugby is played throughout the school but only Years 4 to 6 are involved in contact. There are inter-house competitions for all Years and inter-school matches for years 4, 5 and 6. Players from Saracens Rugby Club and London Wasps Rugby Club regularly visit to help with the teaching.

Swimming

Swimming is taught to all age groups and there is an inter-house competition in which every boy participates. The swimming club, which has about 30 members, has regular inter-school fixtures and also competes in other regional and national competitions.
